A First Look At Googles 3D Scanning Project Tango Tablet

Google’s experimental 3D-scanning tablet goes on sale for $512

Available now to the general public, Googles three-dimensional scanning Project Tango tablet is on sale for the competitive price of $512 at the Google Store.

Up to this point, Googles Project Tango tablet was just a concept with the targeted end user being developers, since many of its features are geared towards things like 3D motion and depth sensing and not just casual Facebook browsing or Netflix watching.

Powered By Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, Google is hoping to cash in on the upcoming need possibilities using Augmented Reality (AR) needs as things like Oculus Rift become more popular.

Apple has shown interest in competing in the AR market with the acquisition of Metaio last week, and their PrimeSense hardware.

It is being reported that the Qualcomm platform engine will be the engine of choice for Google’s forthcoming Project Tango smartphone.
