If you are the owner of Jawbone Up bands and are disappointed because of lack of some tracking features, we have got some good news for you. Jawbone UP fitness trackers to get free updates, Passive heart rate monitoring and automatic sleep tracking added.

Up3 and Up4 fitness trackers were earlier able to measure heart rate, but it wasn’t continuous like on the Fitbit and other fitness bands. It only monitored resting heart rate while a person slept at night.

Jim Godfrey, a Jawbone spokesman said:

“We’ve addressed all the issues that people have said they want us to address.”

Jawbone UP fitness trackers to get free updates and now these trackers will automatically track users’ sleep along with passive heart rate monitoring. But users will not be able to see their heart rate on demand like many other smartwatches and fitness trackers.

The company’s Smart Coach feature, offering actionable advice generated from tracking data, will now be giving advice to live healthier using both passive and resting heart rates.

Jawbone UP fitness trackers to get free updates and the company also unveiled a slight redesign for the Up2 tracker. It now features a new thinner strap with dual rubber bands embellished with a metal hook, giving the wearable more fashionable look.

Jawbone’s spokesperson also said that the company will replace old Up2 bands with the new one, if a user is facing any problem with the old one.
