The Next Generation Racing Game: Anki Overdrive Robot Car Racing Game Unleashed

Anki Overdrive robot car racing game unleashed, which will create a next generation gaming experience. Anki Inc. is a robotics startup which was founded in the year 2010 by grad students who met at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute, while studying their Ph.D.s.

In 2013, the company’s first product Anki Drive, was unleashed at Apple’s WWDC conference. Anki Overdrive is the new version of the previous game. The company has now over 100 employees who worked hard to bring video games to life through robotics in their new game Anki OverDrive.

Anki Overdrive Robot Car Racing Game has a video game app, a magnetic modular track and updated robotics cars that work together in order to create a next generation racing experience. Players can choose a variety of drivers known as commanders in the game, each with its own backstory and personality, through the video game app which acts as the controller. Players are also able to build custom tracks in few minutes, deploying a series of turns and even a jump or two. There are new game modes introduced in the game such as king of the hill and time trial to add more ways to beat down opponents.

Mark Palatucci, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Anki said “One of the things we realized is that we can take a lot of the magic of the video game world and apply that to physical characters.”

Besides the Android or iOS device, each player needs the starter kit which will cost around $150 to play Anki Overdrive robot car racing game. The starter kit will come with two cars, 10 track pieces, a charging platform, and a tire-cleaner. Players can also expand the battlefield by purchasing the expansion packs that costing between $10 and $30. Extra supercars will cost around $50. Anki Overdrive will start shipping in the US, Canada, Germany and UK on September 20.
