For the past couple of years, UE Boom has been the popular Bluetooth speaker among people. Now, Logitech owned Ultimate Ears has introduced the new UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth speakers with some great enhancements over its predecessor.
What are the enhancements in the UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth speakers?
One of the best enhancements in these new speakers is IPX 7 certification. It means speakers are now waterproof, so if you’re planning to have a poolside party, you can easily use these wireless speakers. The company claims that the speakers can also withstand and survive drops from up to 5 feet. So, we can say that the latest UE speakers can survive for long and are more rugged than before.
Another enhancement in the UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth speakers over its predecessor is loudness. According to Logitech owned Ultimate Ears, the new speakers are 25 percent louder than the original UE Boom due to the change in decibel rating to 90db from 88db.
The wireless range of the best Bluetooth speakers has also been extended from 50 feet to 100 feet. Now, you can chat on the phone in your gallery keeping it farther away from the speakers as the songs are played. The only thing that has not changed in these flawless speakers is battery life. It offers the same 15-hour battery backup as its predecessor.
You can control the basic functions of the speakers even without unlocking your phone. You can handle play/pause controls along with skipping to the next track by enabling “tap controls” in the app. By enabling the tap controls, if you’ll tap on its top, it will flip between play and pause. If you’ll double-tap, the speakers will skip the song.
What is the price of Ultimate Ears new speakers?
If you are interested in buying the UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth speakers, you can purchase it on the Ultimate Ears website. It will cost you the same $199 as its predecessor, but with some enhanced features.
