Will Huawei Nexus Smartphone come this fall?

Google’s Android M will be officially launched this fall, which means that we can expect a new Nexus device soon. When making Nexus devices, Google has conventionally stuck with mainstream OEMs. There are rumors that the Huawei Nexus Smartphone is coming soon, which would make it the first Chinese OEM to get this golden opportunity. Rumors that Huawei will produce the new Nexus have been spreading since February.

According to our sources, this year Google may launch two Nexus smartphones manufactured by Huawei and LG. LG has manufactured the nexus devices before, but Huawei’s entry has come as a surprise.

How will both the companies benefit from this collaboration?

Last year in November, Chen Lifang, Huawei’s Senior Vice President said that the company’s biggest hurdle in making their presence in the U.S. is not issues like the Google ban in China, instead it is the lack of brand recognition in the United States. With Huawei Nexus Smartphone, the Chinese manufacturer could make their presence in the U.S. market, because Google’s Nexus line is marketed largely there. In return, Google could be helped by Huawei to build an app store in China, since Google Play Store and Google apps and services do not work in China due to government regulations.

Expected specs of Huawei Nexus Smartphone:

According to rumors, Huawei Nexus Smartphone is dubbed as “Angler.” The device is expected to have a display of 5.7-inch, which will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip and a 3500mAh battery. But, there are more rumors about the assumed LG Nexus smartphone, which is dubbed as “Bullethead.”It is expected to have a 5.2-inch display, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Snapdragon 808 chip, 3GB of RAM, USB Type C port and a fingerprint scanner.
