OnePlus 2 Launch Was A Failure, Open Sale Plans In The Making

The makers of OnePlus felt sorry because of the delay in OnePlus 2 launch and announced that it was planning on having an open sale of the smartphone in either early October or late September. They did not give any other information regarding this.

Company statement with regard to OnePlus 2 launch failure:

“To our fans, sorry. We were equally excited when we saw your excitement around the OnePlus 2. We know how it feels waiting and waiting for something you really want, while being given ETAs that go unfulfilled……Therefore, it feels extra terrible to let you down this time around, again.”

The way of purchasing the new smartphone was supposed to be easier than purchasing OnePlus One. According to Pei, they began shipping ‘meaningful quantities’ only this week, which is almost a month late than the actual date of initial shipping.

The co-founder took full responsibility for the blunder and admitted that his team messed up. He also said that the company is not going to make any more promises for OnePlus 2 launch in the future.The new OnePlus 2 was launched in a virtual reality event, the first of its kind.

The makers claim that the OnePlus 2 fingerprint scanner is quicker than the Touch ID of the iPhone and has the ability to save five fingerprints. After the OnePlus 2 launch, it will be available for the price of $389 or £289.
