Smart assistants are the very latest fad that are slowly getting very popular these days. There are several reasons due to which the smart assistants are proving to be efficient and making users realize that it’s the closest thing as a personal robot that one can have. Smart assistants are virtual robots residing in our smartphone that can do a lot of things like setting a reminder, send a message to someone on a messenger. At present, there are 3 major giants that have their own personal assistant and they are all in the fight to be the best.

With technology the main motive is always to make any process more efficient. The only intention is always to make everything productive. The working of a smart assistant is very complex. The user gives voice commands to the smartphone and in return the assistants give a prompt reply depending upon the commands received from the user.

When using a smart assistant, the assistant’s action is triggered only when they are called upon by a pet name. For Amazon’s Alexa, all you have to say is just two words which are Hey Alexa, when it comes to Google assistant. You have to say Ok Google. For Apple’s Siri, Users need to say Hey Siri. Once you say these trigger words, the assistant start listening to your commands or a query. Once done, the processing happens and your query is answered.

The best thing about a smart assistant is that it keeps getting better with time. They have an inbuilt AI (artificial technology) which means the more you use it, the more it understands you and behaves accordingly. Whenever a query is sent, the query is broken down into small packets that are sent to the servers which have complex algorithms running to dissect the command and understand the context of the sentence. As per our understanding, Google assistant and Amazon Alexa are much better when compared to Apple’s Siri. At the end, it all boils down to one’s personal taste as different smart assistant work differently.
