Facebook Introduced “Moments App” To Quickly Share Your Photos Privately

Facebook, The Social Networking Giant introduced a new app called “Moments App” to quickly share your photos privately. Syncing photos with the Moments App lets you easily share your photos privately with friends that are in them and similarly you can get access to photos taken by them.

Will Ruben, Product Manager said in a blog post “It’s hard to get the photos your friends have taken of you, and everyone always insists on taking that same group shot with multiple phones to ensure they get a copy.”

The Moments App has reduced the tedious process of collecting the photos of a specific event, which usually involves contacting many individuals and asking them a favor to send the photos.

The Moments App lets you easily sync up with your friend’s photo library and sort all your Facebook photos in one place thanks to Facebook’s face recognition technology. The app also groups the photos on your phone based on when they were taken and allows you to search specific photos that you or your friends are in. “Now, you and your friends have all the photos you took together.” said the Facebook official.

Moments App is developed by Facebook’s Creative Labs and is initially launched in the US on Android and iOS and will be rolling out to more countries sooner. You can download Moments from the Google Play Store and App Store.
