Tab sales are erratic; will Amazon be able to find a way?

The sales of Tabs over the past several quarters have been erratic due to market saturation and tougher competition. It would be really challenging for the online retail giant to attract consumers in a market where interest in slates has waned.

According to a report by the IDC, shipments of iPad and the iPad Mini have also declined 26 percent in comparison to the second quarter of 2013. Presently, Samsung and Apple dominate the tab market and if they are facing tough times, it would not be easy for Amazon also.

Amazon to unleash $50 tab and it clearly wants to attract customers looking for the best value for their money spent. Today there are many tabs, which are already quite reasonable, but a $50 option would mean low screen quality, battery life and durability.

Amazon to unleash $50 tab and to lower the cost of production, the retail giant has reportedly outsourced much of the production and development of the tab. The two firms said to be working on the low cost tab were named: Taiwan’s Compal Communications and Shanghai Huaqin Telecom Technology.
