Do you remember John Sculley, Former CEO of Apple? I hope you do, he has announced two new affordable smartphones Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5. Don’t think that Obi is related to Apple because it is Android and affordable.

Specs of Obi Worldphone SF1:
Obi Worldphone SF1 is 4G-compatible and got its name because of its city of origin, San Francisco. The smartphone features a 5-inch 1080p Full HD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The SF1 has a sound system from Dolby and a battery of 3000 mAh, which supports for Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0.
The phone has a rear camera of 13 megapixels with Sony IMX214 sensor and a front facing camera of 5 megapixels. The phone has 2 variants and 2 GB RAM/16 GB storage configuration costs $199. The higher end 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage configuration costs $249. The device runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the Obi Lifespeed UI.

Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 got its name from San Jose and features a 5-inch 720p HD Display. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6580 clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with 1 GB of RAM. SJ1.5 has an internal storage of16 GB, which can be expanded by the MicroSD card. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and affront facing camera of 5-megapixel. It comes with a 3,000 mAh battery and is not 4G compatible. The phone costs $129.
Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5 will be initially available in India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, the UAE, Turkey and Vietnam.
