AT&T and Verizon to open dedicated shops within Best Buy

To attract more customers and create an impression among existing customers, AT&T and Verizon to open dedicated shops within Best Buy. This is not a new concept; other tech players have also used Best Buy to promote their products.

Verizon’s John Colaiuti said:

“Just like in our own Destination and Smart stores, the specialists in the Verizon Experience stores at Best Buy are trained in a hands-on environment so they can provide real-world examples to customers when talking about our new simplified plans and devices.”

AT&T and Verizon to open dedicated shops within Best Buy

The Verizon Experience stores have already begun rolling out at Best Buy where shoppers can try out the newest smartphones, tabs, wearables and services. The Experience Store employees will also help to solve queries of customers confused by the range of plans and products offered by the company. The company is planning to open nearly 100 stores by the month end. By the end of 2015, Verizon expects to increase its stores presence to 250 locations.

AT&T and Verizon to open dedicated shops within Best Buy and an AT&T spokesperson said in a press release:

“Rolling out now, new AT&T shops with a full range of products – including IoT (Internet of Things), can be found inside select Best Buy stores throughout the country. These AT&T shops are aimed at giving its customers a more personalized connected life experience. From home security and automation, to wearables and connected cars, the new shopping area shows shoppers how it all works together.”

The employees working in AT&T stores at Best Buy will be trained on the company’s products and services. AT&T is also planning to open its new stores at 250 Best Buy locations by the year end.

AT&T and Verizon to open dedicated shops within Best Buy, but they have not disclosed how the deal is structured financially. However, the stores will be operated by Best Buy employees trained on each carrier’s products and services.
